Fire Safety Training Courses

Fire safety training is essential for maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with legal requirements such as the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and the Fire Safety Act 2021. It equips staff with the knowledge and skills needed to prevent fires, manage emergencies, and protect lives and property. Courses like Basic Fire Awareness, Fire Marshal/Warden, Fire Extinguisher training, and Evacuation Chair training play a critical role in preparing staff for a variety of scenarios, from using fire extinguishers effectively to ensuring safe evacuation procedures, especially for disabled individuals.

These tailored courses enhance overall safety culture, enabling employees to recognise fire hazards, understand the importance of fire policies and procedures, and respond quickly and correctly in emergencies. They also help businesses meet regulatory obligations, reducing the risk of penalties and improving overall fire safety compliance. By investing in comprehensive fire safety training, businesses protect both their employees and their premises, promoting a safer, more prepared workplace.

What to Expect During Evac Chair Training:

A typical evacuation chair training course lasts for around three hours and covers all the essential information you need to know about the evac chair and how to use it. You will be given a thorough explanation of the various parts of the chair, and how they work together to help you safely evacuate a disabled person.

You will also be shown how to correctly position a person in the chair, and how to safely secure them in place. Once you have been shown how to use the chair, you will be given the opportunity to practice using it on your own.

This will help to ensure that you are confident in your ability to use the chair correctly and
that you understand all the safety procedures involved.
