Webinars: Insights and Takeaways

Firntec ran a series of webinars addressing compliance, building safety, and sector-specific challenges:

Enhancing Building Safety CPD – Focused on practical compliance strategies and regulatory updates, helping professionals maintain CPD requirements while embedding safety into operations.

FRA CPD Webinar – Covered fire-risk assessment best practices, including risk evaluation, mitigation strategies, and documentation.

Single Building Assessment (SBA) Webinar – Delivered guidance on assessing single building compliance, risk management, and integrating findings into operational processes.

Practical Approach to Building Compliance in Healthcare Environments – Explored compliance and safety in complex healthcare settings, with real-world case studies for fire safety and regulatory adherence.

These webinars provided actionable guidance, best-practice examples, and opportunities to engage directly with experts on sector-specific challenges

Live Events and Building Compliance & Retrofit Summit

Live events remained a central part of Firntec’s 2025 programme, including the Fire Safety Event, HOMES UK, and Housing 2025. These gatherings brought together housing providers, compliance officers, suppliers and regulators to share insights, discuss sector-wide challenges, and build professional connections. They provided an important platform for exchanging practical guidance and strengthening collaboration across the built environment sector.

Our Building Compliance & Retrofit Summit 2025, in collaboration with Ventro and LivGreen, was a standout event, focusing on building compliance, decarbonisation, fire safety, and navigating evolving regulatory requirements. The summit attracted housing providers, compliance leads, regulatory experts, and retrofit consultants for in-depth sessions and discussions.

Frazer Keam delivered a session on Firntec’s integrated compliance ecosystem, demonstrating how clients can manage fire safety, structural safety and other services through a single framework. He highlighted how this approach reduces duplication, cuts costs, ensures consistent reporting, and provides long-term safety assurance.

Stephen Hockin joined Adam Sanders (RiskBase) and Steven Wilson (Ventro Group) on the Building Safety in Practice panel, exploring the “Golden Thread” of information. The panel highlighted the importance of accurate, accessible, and collaborative data, strategies for producing compliant safety cases, and practical approaches to integrating data across multiple compliance streams.

Delegates praised the summit for its practical focus, real-world examples, and actionable takeaways. Beyond the sessions, the summit facilitated networking and collaboration, connecting professionals across the sector and supporting safer, more compliant, and sustainable housing and building projects.

Roundtables and Looking Ahead to 2026

In addition to webinars and summits, Firntec ran two roundtable sessions in 2025, providing smaller, focused discussions on building compliance and safety challenges. These sessions were highly valued by attendees, and Firntec plans to expand its roundtable programme in 2026 to provide even more opportunities for peer-to-peer learning, sector collaboration, and sharing best practice.

Looking ahead, Firntec will continue to grow its webinar series, live events, summits, and roundtables. The focus will remain on delivering practical, regulatory-informed guidance, supporting professionals across the built environment sector, and providing opportunities to connect, learn, and implement best practice in building compliance, retrofit, and fire safety.
